for the love of love

I just read my cousin's blog about preteen love, and oh don't you just want to wince at the thought of the young and the innocent- but yet however my two girls are sitting entranced in front of the tv watching a Barbie movie about Princess and dashing heros, and all sorts of brave deeds. I have however grew up with 2 brothers- if you wanted to play then you had better be ready to get Barbie in the fort with Hulk Hogan and GI Joe, there was always a battle going on, no time for balls and dancing. But never fear i can spot a romantic twist to any plot my current fave of the moment is the Ghost Whisperer-- can she find true love with her husband ghost (trapped in another mans' body who has amnesia? CAN SHE???? I have always had a thing for the Romantic English countyyside, the wide misty moors (Mr. Darby and MIss Bennett like)( don't you all just want to cozy up and watch the terribly awkward Pride and Prejudice?) and the oh so proper rules. Big Sigh.

  1. You know, I've always been a sucker for a good story. I'm with you on the England countryside, for awhile there, our backup honeymoon spot was going to be the area where they filmed the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie. I think I still get emails about traveling there. When I was in the VHS rental stage, I went through the whole Merchant-Ivory film collection. OOH! And Out of Africa. Great, thanks. Now I am going to have to go re-rent all of these films and drive Cass nuts. I'm off to add them to my queue!
